New guy, living in Canada...just imported "Cooter" from Arizona. My 4th pickup...3rd Ford. Interesting importation process, especially during these pandemic times.
The Marti Report says I have one of 120 light blue 1977 F-150 4x4's, made in Fresno, sold new in Montana, sold to a collector in AZ, and put back in service by me.
Still getting to know each other, but it's like slipping on an old pair of shoes. I've already learned lots here and plan on spending my time in the Dent-Side Forum.
Anyone here living in the vicinity of Northern BC? Thanks, and I appreciate any comments/ suggestions for future upgrades or improvements to this new, old truck.
Nice rig, front has been lifted a bit which is good but other than that looks very original. I'm not a canopy guy but if you're going to have one that's the one to have.
Hopefully you won't drive it in the salt, I'm not sure about BC but Alberta seems to love it.
Damn thats purridy, let see some engine bay and interior pics and stuff, its like **** around here, 400 im assuming ? You got one of those transitional trucks (thats what i call'em), kept the round headlights, but has the hood emblems instead of the fender, early build. Prolly dosent need much work if a collector had it ?
Thanks for all the kind words.
440-6: Yup. 2" levelling kit up front. The canopy is coming off soon, but I think it was an original Ford factory option?
I have a question about the in-cab tank. My old '67 F-250 Camper Special had dual tanks, and the bench seat folded forward, revealing the in-cab tank.
This '77 F-150 also has the in-cab tank, and the seat rail will slide forward easily, but the seat back appears to be pinned through some kind of stamped steel ring.
Is there any way to un-pin that steel ring? Or do I just look for some late-model buckets and a console? The interior is otherwise well-preserved in all-original condition.
The 351M and 4-speed manual trans work well together, and 4x4 works flawlessly. Ask my wife about the goat farmer's driveway. More pix coming soon.
These shots are from the warehouse in PHX. The truck was much cleaner then...
Hey man, what tire size are you running on the stock wheels... I really like the look and stance, and it fits close enough to the original look imo. Like em!
