I swapped my stock injectors out for my new Stage 1.5 180/30’s and used the supplied oil sucker to make sure I got all the oil out of the cylinders, now I buttoned everything back up changed my tunes on my Hydra, and went for first start up and nothing, crank didn’t even move at all, is there any fix for getting the oil out of my cylinders without pulling the new injectors, I’m worried that if I have to pull them the copper crush washers will be bad so I’ll have to get some new ones. Any help will be appreciated
remove the glow plugs and turn over several revolutions by hand, put valve covers on with a couple bolts and crank with the starter for about 5 seconds.
re assemble and start the engine.
So I got time to tear into it today, got it cranking, but I can’t get it to start, I updated my tunes on the Hydra, I get the “Wait to Start” light for like 1 second after I switch the key on then it kicks out and flops over to a check engine light. Didn’t have one when this ****show happened. Kinda lost and Kinda frustrated. Any info helps!! Thank you for your time!!
1st, remove the chip. don't try troubleshooting with a chip installed.
after an injector change it takes several minutes of cranking to re fill the oil rails (30 seconds cranking at least 5 minutes not cranking to let the starter cool )
battery charger connected until it starts. most batteries will not have enough life to get it started after injector change.
I would have the block heater plugged in for several hours, warm engines crank and start easier.
is everything electrical connected on the engine? check every connection.
check oil level after cranking a couple times. keep it full.

Well she started, I pulled the hydra and she sparked right up. What are the do’s and don’ts of the first start up, and I did drive it for a second, put a few miles on it, noticed it shakes a bit more than usual and it’s hesitant on mild acceleration, also billows white smoke on like soft medium acceleration. Thank you all for your help!
leave the hydra out, 50 to 100 miles to get the air out of the high pressure oil system.
white smoke is normal as some oil was in the cylinders and is now in the exhaust system so when the exhaust gets hot it is going to smoke.
you will probably need your tunes re written with the bigger injectors.

i did get the PHP Titan unlock tunes for my 180/30’s, not sure if they are good tunes but other than sending my Hydra in to FFD to get he programmed I took the only option I had to get tunes then and there.
I put about 150 miles on her, no Hydra on it yet but, it still has a really bad hesitation and shake at medium acceleration, could I have an injector that isn’t seated all the way? What would be the best way to seat them? I seated them by lubing them up and pushing them in my hand and cranking the bolts down to 25 flbs

this is 100% personal opinion I can’t logically back this up I’m still learning about these. I think anything bigger than 160/0s you need the chip for the truck to run well. With 180/30s I think you need the hydra in. Try cleaning the contacts on the pcm real well and plug it back in make sure it’s tight on the computer and try again

Gotcha I had they hydra on when I first installed them but I got a no start condition on it but I’ll put it back on, was just going to put 200 miles on them before I threw the Hydra back on it. I appreciate the help,
