Hi everyone I've been reading 400 intake threads until my eye ***** started to spin, but there was one thing I never seemed to see talked about.
I just recently bought a 79 f150 with a 400 2bl. I'm wanting to swap intakes to the 8010 but what do you do with the exhaust ports in the heads that feed the egr system? do you have to plug them or can you just cover them over with a gasket? I even read the installation instructions and it doesn't even mention the EGR or plugging the ports.
Will the pressure blow the gasket and cause leaks?
I tried searching for these questionings and either my search-fu is weak or its not a issue worth talking about but I want to make sure before I waste a whole lotta time and heart ache.
thank you for your help and time.

l have a 400 in my 77 f350. l have a edelbrock performer intake and just use the valley pan gasket with silicone on the ends. Never had any issues. l have an extra intake if you haven't gotten one yet.
