I believe electrical components are short. I think the issue is much deeper and more complex than simple chip production due to high demand or labor shortages.. The Chinese can build a complete hospital in hours. They can bootleg almost any product in a week. The Chinese can almost move the Earth off of its axis in design and production..
Can’t produce chips? Expand production to produce chips? Please..
Yeah, a little more of a political squeeze I believe.

Think about that before you suggest this has been a joke.
So habe I, and tons more succumbing to death with comorbidities including smoking , obesity , diabetes, cancer , and straight up FLU. One thing is guaranteed , we will die. Shut down the world next time the flu comes bad that year....

Notice flu was down by 98%?

Dont want to wear one...don't.. just don’t enter a business that require them.
well it originated in China , if that offends you than I guess illegal aliens does too... masks don’t work - see attached , read it from beginning to end. MIT put out a
study today on CNBC they don’t help prevent transmission .

Yeah, a little more of a political squeeze I believe.
You may be allowing your politics to filter your perspective.
For example, the current chip shortage is being attributed to a major fire at a factory in Japan. Not China.

LOL..
The subject is so old...

Let’s dumb it down..think reverse of that article.
It’s not a filters unless it’s an N95., it’s not a protector for you..it simply knocks your exhaled breath down to inches away from your mouth instead of feet where someone else may have a better opportunity to breath it in. A person wearing one next to you is doing it for you, not for them.
Its so simple..

Guys, don’t wear one.. I choose to.

EVERYONE has been wearing masks for 12+ months now. Why aren't the masks working? The virus is everywhere.

One big reason automakers can’t find enough chips is that semiconductor manufacturers have given priority to manufacturers of smartphones, video game consoles and other consumer electronics, which tend to be more lucrative customers.

Politics means policy. Not Dem vs.Rep etc..

You should have read my comment carefully; "I have zero confidence that a paper mask (probably not worn properly) is going to protect anybody"; wearer or others. And don't preach about N95 masks; something that cannot be found; at least where I live.

Thanks, I won't, but I don't need permission from you or anyone else, including the government.

It takes team work, and not opposite approaches. Teamwork as in everyone on the same page, and not taking a silly political side driven by the news you choose to watch.
I own a house in western NY, and one near Naples, FL where we spend part of the winter.
If you saw how wide open and unmasked Florida is then you would understand how the lid can’t be put on the problem.
Even with that said, it’s an impossible task. So, we do the best we can. Some take chances, others are more careful with their health.

PS: I've been vaccinated, why do I need to wear a mask? Are you going suggest we have been mislead concerning the vaccine?

I respect your right to your opinion.
I’m vaccinated, as well as my family and employees..so the pressure is totally off of me. But I’ll still wear one inside of a building in case your or someone else’s mother/father/brother/sister isn’t vaccinated.

Until there is herd immunity, you may still contract, not get sick or even know you have it, and spread the virus to others who are not vaccinated. So it depends how much respect you have for others around you.
Don't have any? Then don’t wear one..
