Just got mine in from Fairway and it did not have the camera like the photo indicated. Im going to use this one at the bumper connection for my bumper pull utility trailer. Now I have to find a t-adaptor to run the factory TPMS harness to this bumper connection since I currently have it connected to the bed location. Anyone know if somebody sells or makes one of these? I am going to contact Nichols Welding today and ask if they one or if they will make one.
I went with the FoMoCo kit so it would integrate seamlessly with my Navi System. It does.
One additional bonus to going with the ford kit is that when you plug in your TPMS to your truck, it wakes up an additional camera feature that is not available without it plugged in. It uses the side view mirror cameras. When you choose that view you can select both or just left/right. If say you select left, you can then widen out your view to the left. Works the same on the right. I had to learn all this on my own. It was new for 2017 when I got my '17 F350SD 6.7l PSD 4x4.
Maybe the aftermarket kits can make that work. I don't know anything about them.
If you're talking about the trailer backup view (that shows you down the sides of the trailer) I believe that works just by having a trailer connected to the 7-way, no need for the 12 pin to be plugged in.
