Battery drain
After looking and researching for awhile i am reaching out looking for help. 2001 f250 7.3 califronia truck is having pretty fast battery drain. started 2 weeks ago so i replaced new batteries and alternator thinking it was a diode going bad, still would drain the batteries in a few hours. i was able to trace it back to the glow plug control module and replaced it. truck ran and started fine for a week and half and is back to draining the batteries. i suspect the glow plug module is bad again. my question is something causing this or is it just a new faulty part. i have seen parts fail right out of the box but i don't want to spend another $150 and cause another glcm to go bad. thanks in advance.

I would recommend taking some time to determine what is causing the battery drain this time around. Certainly true that new parts can be defective out of the box, but good to confirm first.
