Get shorty headers if you must have headers. Long tubes on the 4wd's are a pain in the **** to route around the crossmember. The long tube ones usually dump out right in front of the tcase crossmember making for some weird bends to clear it.
Edit: or go fender well exit.
L & L Products in Texas makes short tube. ( good luck getting them to return a call) I purchased long tubes from Hooker Headers. You need to call them to place an order, PART# 6841HKR. Ask for Scott Kirk. Their website only lets you look them up by application. and I don't think Ford offered a 460 in a 4x4. At least not with a 4-speed manual.
Also check the first turn out of the heads will actually clear the bolts. The PO put hedman headers on my rig and I about cried when I noticed they had to bend the friggin bolt in a couple spots to get them on.... I still haven't been able to get those bolts back in. Tick Tick Tick Tick....
I bought a pair of 3/4 length headers from L&L some years ago. Mine is a 1979 F150 460 4wd, ha....that 4wd made them scarce when I was looking for them. I have no idea what they are worth so I'd have to look up a fair price but I am pulling my 460 for a modern swap and won't be needing them, I might consider selling them if you care they are used. I just go so damn tired replacing the stock exhaust manifolds. Replaced 3 of them before finally upgrading to headers.

Oh man....I can't stand exhaust leak ticks! I feel you man!
