Dilemma; front lights wire routing decisions decisions
Hi team, Slowly replacing the wiring in my '55 F100 - and need to decide where to route the wiring from the fuse box to the front lights. The wiring had previously been run along the top of the inside of the front DS wheel arch - which was great because it meant the wiring wasn't visible in the engine bay (very pretty) but I'm torn about the risks of the wiring being damaged in the wheel arch..
I'm thinking about still routing through the wheel arch but perhaps running the wiring inside some heater hose for protection from stray pebbles etc. I'd love opinions if anyone has a view? Thanks in advance

As the forrmer owners of my truck have added cables over cables in funny colors, I decided to change the complete cabling and try to hide everrything, so as BJ said, best hiidden and safe place would be the frame. if you are scared that they can be damaged by stones or something else, use cable coverring, somethinig like this:

I recently rewired my truck and ran the light wiring on the inside of the fenders tucked up high. I'm never working with much budget so I picked up a 50' long 5/8" diameter "soaker hose" at a clearance store (I think I paid $8) to use as a conduit/wiring protection. It's black, textured, more than enough length and doesn't look too out of place in the engine bay or under the truck. You can see it below the voltage regulator on the passenger side inner fender and the driver side firewall going under the fender.

When rewiring my 1956 F100 I ran the wiring in the original location. I used the non-stick 1" wide vinyl wire wrap by American Auto Wire. It works great and they also offer it in a cloth looking wrap. I'm not into hiding wiring, fuel lines, etc. In my opinion, just do a nice job and it will look fine in the stock location. When I see wiring/lines hidden my first thought is what kind of a mess are they hiding.
