Ok, hi guys new to this forum, hope that I can get some help. I have a 97 f350 7.3 has an electronic fuel system and has a 4in exhaust besides that it pretty stock engine wise. My problem is I get a jolt when I press or let off the accelerator and seems to get more aggressive when I press and let off rapidly. It's like I'm hauling a trailer with a smaller trailer hitch ball. No engine light nothing and truck runs pretty good , hasn't thrown any engine codes, have replaced icp the map sensor, the ebps and tube, the ipr regulator, cps. There is a relatively new within the last 6 months rebuilt transmission and rearend im stumped any and all advice is welcome.

Yes, when I took it Into a shop because I had alot of play in the pinion, thinking that's what was causing the jolt, thats when I found out the rearend was shot. My buddy put it up on a lift all looked good moter mounts, transmission mounts, u joints were all replaced. Greased the slip joint and the carrier bearing dont seem to have alot of play
5 speed or auto? Mine does the same thing I agree it’s very uncomfortable. The yoke goes back and forth slightly in the diff with the driveshaft so I kinda figured that was it maybe the gears are just worn out and I just feather the clutch a little more to keep it smoother but if there’s another explanation here I’d love to hear
It's an auto, I've been dealing with it for awhile. It seems like it getting worse thought it might transfer case Chain slap but the shop said there was alittle but not enough to worry. The only thing he saw was the rear leaf spring bushings are worn out, he said that plus axel warp was my problem. Not sure about that. Any thoughts would axel warp cuase that jolt
Ok, been a long couple of day, but last night I put a camera in a couple different spots on the underbelly. I watched the vid and didn't really see anything obvious, the truck shakes so much it was hard to tell.

Sounds like you're onto something with the worn out bushings and axle wrap. I'd swap the bushings and if it continues look into some traction bars or something to brace the axle. Please update us if you figure out what works!! Good luck!!
Idk a whole lot about the effects of of axel warp, I get that worn leaf bushings might make it worse, but would i have felt it before it started?
Honestly I'm not sure. But either way seems like first good step would be to replace those bushings. I'd be interested to know if people go with OE ones or Polyurethane ones.
