I should rephrase this question. Is there a part number to replace this broken plastic chrome piece? I have no idea how it broke, I bought the truck second hand.
On a 2019, the hardest part is paying for the entire black piece, $135 if I remember correctly. Four nuts accessed through the pull out tailgate step and a few clips around the edge, swap over all of the electronics (camera, proximity sensor, button, etc), pop it back in the tailgate and tighten the four nuts. 30 minutes tops once you get over the cost.
Mine was cracked in the surrounding black trim, so I didn't have a choice but to replace the whole thing. Not sure if you can buy just the chrome piece. And my old one is already gone, or I would send it to you (sorry).
