If I make a new build on Fords website for a 350 SRW and choose the 12000# GVWR package but also the 18' tires that come standard, which are the LT275/65Rx18E BSW A/S, when looking up this tire it has a load rating of 2601. So 2601 * 4 is 10,404... If I get the 12000# package, where is the extra 1500 lbs coming from? Am I misunderstanding something...
Take another look at those tires. I find it hard to believe they're only 2601# load rated. I'll wager any F-350 SRW will be delivered with at least load index 121 tires which would be rated 3200# each. My LT275/65R20 tires are 126 with 3750# capacity each.
You need to get the 275/70/18 AT or 20 inch wheel option to get the GAWR up otherwise there is little advantage of the 350.
The higher 350 SRW GVWR is the CCLB 7.3/4.30 gear or 6.7 diesel with those tires. Otherwise you are going to get 11,300 or 11,500 gvwr in your srw 350.

You think if I selected the 12000# package that they set you up with the correct tire wheel combo, is that a safe assumption? (They are all e rated tires)
The only package you can pick is the 11,400 or 10,000 Derates.
Your options are what determine the gvwr. So option as I posted above and you get 11,900 gas and 12,400 diesel I believe. Otherwise it will be 11,300 and 11,500.
It says so. I guess they put them at 12,000 since they did the payload recall. I would prefer 12,000 anyway.
I would get the 275/70/18 tire option too to get the rear gawr up seeing you have the GN prep you probably want that. Black side wall or white wall letters they are the same tire.
