Unknown issue after replacing IAC and MAF

Unknown issue after replacing IAC and MAF

2001 f150 4x4
4.6L triton 2 valve143600 ODOTowing package
Off-road package
High Flow K&N intake installed currently
New coil packs and sparks for all cylinders



So I have an interesting problem here, I was having codes for running lean pop up. I started with replacing the MAF and then needed to replace the IAC ( 1 week ago) due to stalling so far no codes but 3 days ago, she began running terrible at low rpms. There has been not a single stall since the MAF and IAC were replaced. What it's doing is during low rpm under 1500 it sputters like crazy like it wants to die but doesn't but it has a peculiar noise like it's boiling or flatulence something of the such. It does it on start up regardless but not always at lights while stopped. I've checked lines all over the intake and the line behind the Throttle body along the firewall. I can't pinpoint the sound at this time.

Assuming there are no codes, IMHO, swap out the K&N for the oem filter assembly and clean the intake with a specific intake cleaner to remove any residual oil. I would avoid oil impregnated filters. While they have their purpose in off-road applications, Ford/GM/Dodge all have “watch-out” bulletins where the oil has contaminated intake sensors. - they even have a training video for the techs on this (flatratetech.com) .

I'd look at misfire counts. Not codes but actual counts.
