6.4 engine problems

Need a engine replacement: I have a 2008 F-350 diesel v-8 6.4 engine that needs replacement. What is the best engine to replace the 6.4 engine (i live in Decatur, Ga.).

Consider replacing the truck. Unless you really want to dump 16k-20k on a engine swap.

time to replace the engine means time to replace the truck.

I only know of 1 person that came on and said "hey..I just rebuilt my 6.4 engine" and we never heard from him again.

If it were me and the truck is in good shape I would contact KEM south Diesel in Monticello, Georgia. They really know what they are doing and won't gouge you. That was my experience. I love my 2008 6.4. A beast of a truck at 218K.

I'd take a look J&K engines in Mount Juliet, TN. They're putting on together one that is balanced rotating assembly for just over 10k, Ceramic coated de-lipped. They recommend you delete though.

Did y’all run him off for rebuilding it? I don’t know the thread….just thought.
