need a 534 engine or what can replace it ??
I have a 1977 cab over truck with an unrebuildable engine.
Any suggestions where i might find a reasonably priced replacement ?
Any suggestions what engine I might be able to replace this engine ?

429 or 460 should work fine.

What about using a 475 or 477. the 534 is basically just a stroked 475 0r 477. Acutally the 475 and 477 are both 477 CID, the only difference is the governor application and caliburation. Both these engines will replace the 534 with no problem.
