I have my self a 1991 Ford F-150, V-8 5.0, XLT-Lariat.
Replaced: Windshield wiper motor.
Question: I have read that it could be intermittent wipers, right now the wiper switch has an OFF, SLOW, and FAST, as you turn it clockwise. I can also turn the switch counter-clockwise 180 degrees, seems like the switch could be wrong, maybe meant for a variable speed. Would a new switch fix my no intermittent wiper issue? Already checked black box.
Thank you in advance!
EDIT: Should also mention, when I turn it counter clockwise, they turn on SLOW speed throughout the whole duration of the turn.
First I'll say the intermittent control, in my experience, on this vintage Ford vehicles always seems a little wonky to control. I have no idea if a new switch would solve your problem or if it is still available.
I don't know what's wrong with your wipers, but turning the **** counterclockwise is supposed to change the intermittent rate from about one per second to about one per ten seconds.

When turning CCW, there is no CLICK, compared to turning it CW, it is smooth all throughout.

Are you only turning the **** counterclockwise enough to turn on the wipers or all the way until it stops? Full turn to the left is the longest delay and all the way to the right is the shortest pause. There are no preset “clicks” for the amount of delay. It is a smooth sweep of the ****. The shortest delay will look the the wipers are on low speed.

I've turned all the possible ways, if I turn it hard enough it will turn them off if I hold it there, but it is the same speed throughout the whole turn.

Well it shouldn’t turn them off if you turn it all the way to the left. I’d start with a different switch since you checked the intermittent control box.

So, just got done taking it apart, I wanted to double check the black box and make sure everything was OK.
Could the truck not of came with a intermittent wiper from the start?
How many wires should there be in the harness from the switch to box, mine has 5.
Also, how many from the box to the motor, because on the box harness there is 5, but on the motor side there is 6?
