I am wondering if the non OEM overload springs contributed to whatever fault that the main pack exhibited that motivated you to change the main packs?
I broke a main leaf on one side, so I decided to change both packs, since I assumed they were both original. I've replaced both front packs as well when the main leaves broke (at different times). It's hard to steer when a main leaf is broken on the front.
I don't think the overload packs contributed to the broken leaf. I think it was more likely the fact that I was trying to compress scrap metal in the dump body with my excavator.
