I had new head studs put in, new oil cooler, sct tuner put in my Excursion, the day after I drove away, I had a code p2290 after stepping pretty hard on the accelerator. I called the mechanic and he said I probably need an ICP sensor. Later that day on the way home on the highway, I was going between 60-70 or so and it starting surging. The feeling was kind of like towing 5000 gallons of water, surging, back and forth, back and forth. The ICP pressure gauge on the SCT would fluctuate by like 100 or so. I bought a new ICP and installed new pigtails, didn't fix the problem. I took back to the shop and they put in a new IPR, that seemed to have fixed the problem, I couldn't get it to surge after so I thought it was fixed. Then, a couple days later hauling a travel trailer, it starting doing it again. Now its still surging upon acceleration or holding accelerator constant even without pulling anything. I'm frustrated, any help would be appreciated. I tried driving with EGR unplugged, didn't help, the mechanic changed the oil and coolant when he did the repairs so that's fresh. The only codes that have come up are p2290 and once it showed a p2285. There is also quite a bit of hesitation between hitting the gas and the truck reacting to hitting the accelerator.
