I had to remove my tailgate so is it possible to tap in to the factory wiring an just add another camera? I have a camera but it only has two wires where there is about 6 going up the tailgate wiring.
Depends if you have the 360 cameras or the regular back up camera. With the 360 cameras the brown Fakra cable is the cable for the camera. I have a camera I got from camera source mounted on my camper. When I remove the tailgate I plug the camper mounted camera in and everything works the same way.

Is there any blank spots with the camper cam plugged in? You wouldn't happen to have a picture of your in-dash screen with the 360 view displayed, would you?

It's not perfect as the camper camera is a bit farther back so it can't stitch them together as well. It's kind of like a blurry spot between the rear and side cameras. I should be loading the camera soon so I'll try to remember to take some pics.

That be much appreciated!
Would be nice to have that ability so to not need a second screen sitting on the dash or hanging on the windshield.
I purchased a camera kit on amazon that just plugs into the factory plug. It came with a few different mounts including a plate mount. Great for hooking up the trailer when alone and with the camper. As far as I know you can't activate while driving.
Just an FYI that I just discovered by accident. I've posted up a thread on mounting a camera on the rear of my camper that is not WIFI enabled so when Im off the beaten path it will work on checking my bikes on the rack when I'm rollin down the road. This is for AXEDREAMER: So on my stereo display ( Kenwood ) which I installed after purchasing truck a year ago because the 4" screen was not gonna work it has a button on the bottom right side for activating the rearview/backup camera on my rear tailgate. You can activate the camera with the engine on and also when in drive while going down the road. So I think all I need is an aftermarket camera that plugs into my tailgate plug for the camera. I think the one company I saw was named Furrion that makes the plug and play camera. Gonna check em out. That way no WIFI needed and no extra display in the cab. Whohooo!
This pic is with the engine on and in the drive position.

Finally loaded the camper and even remembered to get a pic for you. Below is a pic I took of the screen. Of course it doesn't show the camper so you still have to judge for it in the 360 view. I thought there was a way to show just the 360 without the rear view but couldn't seem to remember how.
The camera is mounted on the camper just below the rear step.

Thanks Hedge..... Of course for a second or two I think, "Where's the camper....."
AMXDREAMER or anyone with a lnk. Is there a link you can share for the amazon camera with plug. I have a seperate camera on the TC that I am happy with but would like to have a camera on the license plate frame for when I remove the TC.
Thanks
