I have read through all the mirror upgrade threads and from what I found the 08 mirror upgrade would be basically a plug and play deal on my 05 Excursion Limited, correct. I know the power fold and telescope would be extra wiring, not interested in that, just hoping what I found is correct as to plug and play on my 05. Appreciate the confirmation 👍
I have the same -08 style mirrors from A-1 Auto (Trail Ridge) and they are very nice. I opted for the power-fold. It's one of those rare features you thought wasn't important, but found it's usable multiple times/ day. Anytime you park on a frequently traveled street it's nice to get them out of harms reach or parked somewhere, Even at a car wash!. Tuck 'em away where they're safe and cozy. Only had to run one wire for the power-fold. Mine are 13 months and never any issue.
Btw, the heated parabolic mirror is a cool feature!
Tom, Do you happen to have a part number for yours from A1?
I doubt that I still have the info on that order, it's been a few years...... I'll ask my owner if she can find it. I got mine before they were offering the Trail Ridge branded mirrors that seem to be the ones to get currently.
TRMRP00020 was plug and play for me other than running the power fold wire and for me, the running light wire, as Tom mentioned I believe that in the 05 Ex the wire is already there for the running light so they are plug and play. Good luck.

I got the same ones TRMRP00020 and other than running a separate wire for the power fold, they were plug-n-play. After having the power fold, I can't imagine not having this feature. You're gonna love them!
