Ticking type noise
2004 5.4 here with 19k miles. Just noticed this ticking sound. Seems to come on while in park and if I rev it past 3k rpm, then stays. It goes away if I go to any other gear, also only happens in 2wd only. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Where is the ticking coming from? Engine? Tranny?

Generally when a triton is ticking it's the phasers. Or the roller rockers.

From the video it sounds like an exhaust leak to me

Check both sides to see if any of the exhaust manifold bolts have snapped off. It's usually the rear most ones that go first.

it’s just weird how I only started noticing after the solenoids were changed.
