Box Floor Project
So I bought a used 8' box for my F250 (2002) and I do have a plastic liner within. I know I have some rust points on the floor of this box (nearest the tailgate) and wanted to know how is the floor attached to the box? Is it welded or is there some J channel that it slides into? The floor panel is 49" x 97". I know that the bed bolts would come out but how does the floor panel come out? A new Ford OEM panel is about 2K and that is a non starter. I only paid $500 for the box. The rest of the box is in great shape and knowing there is rust on both sides near the tailgate would haunt me. I know buried under the plastic liner it would be "out of sight, out of mind", but I want to see if I can fix, remove or replace the floor panel at a relatively low price.

The parts you might want are the Rear Cross Sill, and then some bed floor repair panel.

Then here you go. Its a pretty ambitious project to cut the entire floor panel out. You'll need to brace and support the bed sides to ensure it doesn't rack once the old floor is out. Best of luck.
