You can buy them (semi-) rebuilt (truly rebuilt is when they are done by a firm such as Red Head Steering, and others) at your local auto parts store for a 68-72. They were also used for the dents, but I don't know the exact years.
That napa looks like the ford/saginaw that they already sent us once that is not a bendix, and their vehicle fitment says it does not fit my application? Did the link load wrong? I believe they already sent me THAT box and it was not the bendix.
The Autozone box is a BENDIX box, not the Saginaw. Call Red Head Steering to see if they have one in stock, and send your core in to them. $576
Or change your column and convert to the Saginaw.
My mistake. The bendix is the one not the saginaw. I do not know how I missed that. sorry and thanks for the helpI am going to try to edit that!! I meant bendix and knew I neede the bendix. No idea how I made myself type that.
Over the years a leaky Bendix box has been complained about. Whether resealed by a member or bought from a local parts store as a rebuilt one. Hard to get them sealed. Probably why NAPA discontinued them. Unless purchased from Redhead. There is also a good company with "Blue" in their name. I don't remember it though.
