Make a list of parts and check with your Ford dealer, but why? It's easy enough to add aftermarket parts comparable to OEM. Why not wait and see. Folks often times get to far ahead of themselves and adding parts can be done in a simple stepwise progression which is cheaper and avoids spending money on things you think you will need, but don't !
The only two things I really wanted out of the Camper Package were the sway bar and 3.55 axle ratio. The former is easy to add and aftermarket (Hellwig) is available. The former is a big deal and I cancelled the first order when I found out the dealer messed up the order and it was coming with the 3.31 ratio.
I just found out it voids the warranty if you Haul a TC without the factory TC certification.
Can you link the source for that information. The only way I know a warranty can be voided is if the manufacturer can prove what you did caused a specific problem.
You can see a copy of Ford's warranty online. I read the entire warranty and can not see any mention of truck campers. A warranty is a legal document and spells out exactly what Ford will cover and not cover under warranty. Did I miss something?
I saw a post from another source that stated that . Not sure where I saw it now but I will try to find it. I really would like to get verification on this. May go to my local dealer tomorrow and see what they say.

Most dealers are clueless on the details of many of the options. Visit two different dealerships and don't be surprised if you get two different answers. To make matters worse, what the front office (sales) knows isn't necessarily what the back office (service) knows.
The forum where someone posted the warranty would be voided if hauling a TC without the factory camper package was RV Life Pro http://www.irv2.com/forums/f45/F3447...on-344787.html. I am sorry but I don't know how to link it.
Must have overheard that in a locker room (the guy on the other forum), so must be a fact.....
If all that is mentioned, with respect to weight max and warranty voiding, is a weight, then it's based on weight, not shape of weight.

I followed the link. There is nothing there except one person's comment. In my opinion that is the same thing as the old saw that if you exceed your door sill ratings and are in an accident, your insurance will not cover you. Warranties and contracts are legal documents, not simply pieces of paper. They specifically state what they will cover or not cover. Read the warranty! Anything else that someone says is BS. The Ford truck warranty has a number of pages that specifically spell out when they will not honor their warranty and it has to do with what we would term abuse.
Here is an example. If you go to Facebook in the truck camper forum, you will find someone who posted a picture of his truck. His initial discussion focused on the fact that his truck was rated for 10,500 pounds and his CAT scale weight was 14,000 pounds. So two of his wheels broke and he was going on about how the manufacturer was using cheap Chinese junk I believe is what he said and would not honor the warranty and replace is wheels. Those are the kind of things that will negate a warranty.
Just because you find something on the Internet does not mean it is true! If you go to a dealership and someone tells you the warranty will not cover something, ask to see the section of the warranty that says that because that is what the warranty will cover or not cover.

Another thought on this topic. There are thousands of truck campers on the roads or all configurations. Can anyone cite a verifiable example where warranty coverage has been denied simply for hauling a truck camper? As I see it, just another one of those "the bogey man is going to get you" statements.
