Very similar to the 2020 F350 I ordered. As others mentioned the F350 will give you more payload. If your getting the 5th wheel prep. I would seriously consider it. It's not completely necessary but if you ever decide to go 5th wheel or sell it someone with a 5th wheel it will pay off. To me the ride quality seems about the same. I think the front springs or snowplow pkg. will have more of an influence on the ride. I kind of wished I got the heated steering wheel after my wife got it in her car. Good luck with your order.
The halogen headlights are about as good as a jar full of glow worms. You should really consider the Lariat Ultimate to get the LED headlamps. They're worth the money.
FYI, the Lariat Ultimate package does not include the LED headlights for '20-'22 models. Those headlights are an additional $1180 option.
Get the heated steering wheel/rain wipers, also consider the camera (use mine all the time) and cab clearance lights. If you dont need the crew cab consider a super cab longbed and thank me later.
Even better. Costs less to get them. Worth every penny.
The Lariat Ultimate package is required to add the LED option. So you have the cost of both the ultimate package and the LED lights. The crew cab is required to add the ultimate package. Some desirable options get very expensive to add.
Right. In my eyes the LED headlights will cost me $4500+ and I will be getting options I don’t really want or need, other than the wireless charging pad. A 3k payload should be perfect for our needs, hence the 250. My F150 has been a superb truck, we just need 1 step up and the 250 checks the boxes were shooting for

The Black Appearance Pkg does NOT include LED headlights. You need to order option 59Q to get LED headlights (and there is only one type (QUAD)). If you have both options, what you do get is black surrounds for your LED headlights.

You should check some sample VINs to see if a 3000 lb payload is possible with your options. Find a close 2021 truck on autotrader and put in the VIN here: https://fordfleetlive.com/#/Calculators.
If you're getting the 5th wheel prep, you must be thinking a 5th wheel is a possibility. Get the F350 if that's the case. Pin weight can eat up F250 payload. The extra 1,000 lbs of payload could come into play here. And you should probably opt for the 4:30 gears if you're going to tow big with a gasser.
I had a 2019 F250 Lariat with 6.2 and 4:30 gears, and I now own a 2021 F350 7.3 with 3:73 gears. The F350 ride is actually better. They did something in 2020 to help in that regard. Mileage on the F350 is also a little better, but that is likely the 3:73s versus the 4:30s.
If you're NOT planning to EVER have a fifth wheel trailer then ditch the fifth wheel prep. It just adds weight, reducing your cargo capacity. Then again if you had included the fifth wheel prep just in case a fifth wheel was in your future, then like RubyRed said above, go with the F-350.
The LED lights are worth the upgrade. I won't buy another vehicle without adaptive cruise control.
Interesting points on 5th wheel prep. The reason we are thinking of adding is because my in laws are looking at 5th wheels, and when we get to our camp site before them we like to try to help them set up. As a result, I’d only be dragging a 5th from storage to camp site.
lots more to think about with a super duty, coming from the half-ton world
For that limited use towing the 5th wheel, you may be fine with any Super Duty. I guess I was thinking you could be towing a 5er more often. And if the registration is considerably more, than a 250 may do it. All depends on the pin weight of the 5er you'll be towing.
