2003 E350 - Evap vent valve.
I've got a p0455 code on my van, so I checked the vent valve and the purge valve. The purge valve (one by the engine) seals completely when powered off and opens when 12v is applied, so that all seems normal. The vent valve (on the charcoal canister) is open when powered off but when 12v is applied it seems to seal some but not completely, so I purchased a new valve through the local auto parts store and it seems to do the exact same thing... this is not normal correct? It should seal completely when 12v is applied? I've tried blowing through it (with my mouth) and applying vacuum with a mityvac and it does not seal either completely.
