BuiltRight Tech Panels

I installed a new plate from BuiltRight last night in my center console. It's a pretty easy and common mod. I haven't seen many posts about these, so I thought I'd start a thread.

Post pictures of your installs. Plates, panels, whatever. Let's see all of the different ways people are using them.

A/Ox4,
I like that, very convent. I wonder if it would work for a truck with the center jump seat like my XLT.

I like their products. Don’t want anyone to see my gun every time I lift the lid though.

How does the weight affect the lid upon opening? Looks almost like it would need a small gas strut once all that weight is added.

That gas strut idea isn't a bad idea. It does get pretty heavy with the gun on there. If you're careful you can get it to stay open, but with the plate and anything attached to it it wants to fall forward. (Maybe add counterweight behind the plastic to lower center of gravity?)

With a gun on there it's pretty heavy. That's a Taurus G3C which is a double stack 11+1. I don't plan on keeping it there, except when I go into a bank or post office or something where I don't want to carry it. Or long road trips. The lid locks too. It's not a super heavy duty lock, but will stop any thief of opportunity.
