I have a 1967 F100 that is having charging issues, I've replaced the alternator and VR, and it's still not charging and my ALT light stays on the dash, I'm getting battery voltage at the "A" terminal on the VR, and only getting about 6 volts at the "I" terminal when the key is switched on. I've tried a couple different alternators and VR with still no luck, all wires appear to have continuity where they are supposed to. I'm tempted to do a 3G swap but already have money tied up into the VR and new alternator. Any help is appreciated.
Found out the field post on back of the alternator was shorting out to the head. Resolved that issue and replaced regulator now it is charging and no ALT light.
