What is this for ?

Having looked thru the owners manual and online I have no idea of the purpose of the circled area . A speaker of some sort or microphone ? Photo isn`t my truck by the way .

That is the cabin air temp sensor for the climate control.

Thanks , That would never occur to me , first time i noticed it thought it had something to do with Sync.
