Manual regeneration with ability to switch to auto!!

I found this in IDS I have not seen people do it here yet, this gives you the ability to manually start a regen or you can leave it in auto, steps...

1. You need IDS or take it to dealer they might charge you.
2. In IDS go to programable Module
3. Powertrain
4. Change it to manual with auto like in the picture
5. Done

what you guys think?

This would be a nice option. Would be great to manually do a regen with only 90% full DPF when I am driving TO work with a stiff south wind at my back rather than having no choice and blowing more fuel driving INTO said wind after work.

Not yet I am at 60% waiting to get to 90% also it's not a static regen. I will report as soon as I am able.

ok so I got to 100% today an I got a screen saying filter full clean soon, I looked to see if it would let me command regen while driving but did not find any way to do it, I got home and I put in park and nothing, when I applied the parking brake a message came up asking if I wanted to clean filter, long story short this mod gives you the ability to regen on command once filter is full only static, in order to do a driving regen you have to put it on auto, well that is what I have figured out so far more to fallow... and pictures

Any thoughts?

It looks as though you figured a way to add the manual regen that I paid $300 for on my build. I can not activate the regen while driving. I haven't tried it yet but I may give it a whirl today as I'm at 95%

You might be able to use this to delay an auto regen until it's convenient. By leaving the truck in manual regen mode you could prevent an auto regen from starting on a short trip.

Rutcutter, Did you order the manual regen or did you do the modification on this thread? Could you activate the regen when the filter was not full yet?
I ordered the manual regen on mine and to activate the regen the filter has to be full and if I'm not in the correct driving situation for the truck to clean the filter automatically the computer will THEN activate a dash msg. finally letting me activate the manual regen. I think I paid $230 for nothing. I really thought that I'd be able to run the manual regeneration at any time and I can't. It can only be run in the most extreme case. I am in many situations with my truck where it would be nice to start out with a clean filter.
