2006 Tailgate Replacement

Looking for a replacement tailgate that fits a 2006 super duty king ranch..does anyone what years/models I can substitute?

Carparts.com has the 2013 tailgate for $377 but you need a driverside hing and the guts. You can get the 2013 taillights for cheap off Amazon.

They have your model tailgate for like $105.

Try Car-parts.com, don't forget the hyphen. Stay away from Amazon and those "cheap" parts. You wouldn't serve a cheap wine with guests coming over, don't serve up cheap parts for your ride.

Anything up through 2016 will work. As was said above, the driver side hinge/pivot will need to be changed if you find a 2008 or newer gate.

I would think you should be able to use all of them with no modifications.

I was able to take a 2008 tailgate and put it on a 2004 just by removing the assist rod inside the tailgate.
