Bought my first diesel truck

I bought my first diesel truck today. Do any of you have suggestions on periodic maintenance? Truck as 48000 miles on it.

Most everybody recommends the replacement of most fluids, (tranny, oil, differential?) for starters to get a good base on the maintenance condition.
Be sure to use approved fluids as your PSD should still be under warranty.
Your PSD has low mileage, did it tow anything? know the history? do a Carfax VIN check?

I did a carfax check and came back clear. It has a drawtight hitch. I think it pulled a boat. Some rich guy owned it he traded for a Expidition. Seems like a tight truck. Its a big change from my f150. I like it.

The PSD becomes more than transportation, it becomes an obsession. A money pit, toy, hobby, etc.
You've come to the right Forum.

I couldn't agree more! Welcome to the club RickDill1! I'm in the Houston area myself. If you ever need any help, advice about dealerships, or you're just not sure about something, don't be afraid to ask!

This website has some real good info on it. It is geared toward 94-97 but 90% still applies to your 2002
