I was going to order them but decided against it. Someone posted that the rear ones flew away. Others posted that it prevents the window from closing sometimes and doesn't completely close so you hear wind noise.
I've used the ones that stick on the outside of the frame which seem to work well. Not sure I'd like ones that fight for clearance with the window in the windows seal/frame.
I had the Weathertech in channel vent visors for the last 15 years on my other trucks with no issues. I was going to purchase them for the 2fitty. i found an install video on youtube, and the guy b!tched about the clip, so I kept looking.
Still didn't buy a set, so i will keep tabs on this thread as well...
I had weather techs on my 13. I did indeed lose a back one. If you follow the install instructions, the in channel will not cause any problems with windows closing. I decided to go with ARE this time on the 21. Very happy with fit and install was easy.
I have the weather tech window visors if u use the clips u should have no issues with windows going up and down i know I dont have any issues and I have used them on all my trucks.
I put mine in with the clips as instructed and left them in for a few days in the warm weather to let them seat. I noticed the back windows would hit the deflectors while rolling the windows up and down. I figured I'd give it some time as others have but that didn't work out for me. Recently I rolled my rear windows down and one deflector fell out on the driveway and the other side partially slid down. I wouldn't purchase a set of these.

I have the Ford branded in channel window visors and have had a similar experience with the front visors... from the beginning the driver side window would hang up. I would have to push out on the visor to get the window to go up, but after a few months of doing this, the corner cracked and broke off... then, about a week or 2 later, the passenger side started doing the same thing, and it broke in the same place. The rears have been fine, but they rarely get rolled up/down. I love the way the in channels look, but I can't say I'll go with them again after these fall out... which I expect them to eventually.

i have the weathertec in channel ones. No tape, slides in, and there is a metal clip for the front tip which I think is a guide and not a retainer.
they hVe been installed for 3.5 years and look and function as new.
maybe if you install right away on a new truck you get better results than on a older truck…..don’t know.
my previous truck I used a brand that involved the double stick tape. That worked good enough. It, after I blew off my hood defector in a car wash at the air dry station , my confidence in double stick tape diminished.
being older and wiser, i have learned if you have something that faces the elements that uses double stick tape….don’t use the white interior tape that everyone provides….use the black exterior tape instead.
I've got the in-channel Weathertech's on my 2019 single cab, and wouldn't recommend them. The first set broke upon installation, and the replacement set interferes with passenger side window. You have to roll the window up until it contacts the visor, then reach over and push it out before the window will roll up all the way. Pretty annoying.
I have the Weathertech's on mine too. You don't notice the clips.
The issue with the windows closing was something I had to fight with. Turns out, the flange on the back of the visor is actually too long. I thought it was too thick at first, so out came the dremel and I sanded it down a little. Upon reinstall, have the rear flange broke off, but the visor went right in like it was supposed to and all issues with the windows hanging up vanished.
I explained this to the tech at Weathertech, and after much back and forth, he finally understood what I was talking about. Perhaps they've updated them by now.
"Made in USA" is hit or miss by the way. The visors on my Honda say proudly made in... Germany.
