I have this heater assembly and would like to know what it came out of....does anyone know? have no clue what this came out of.....help!! control *****...
It could have "came out of" most anything. Heaters were an option for all Fords back then. Many times a dealer would have a stock of heaters, buying them by the lot to get a good deal, and they could sit on the shelf for years before being installed. Based on the basicness of it, the art deco styling and the script logo, I'm sure it's pre 48, and most likely pre war (WWII).
What year does the ad say it fits, all I see says under brand is Ford
He doesn't state a year, but he does say it's Ford truck. Without a part number to verify a particular application, that was the statement I was questioning. I see it as simply a Ford accessory heater from the 40's or earlier.
There's another ebay ad with the same heater showing a date code of 1948, which supports my original supposition. I'm not sure if this is real value, but in my mind both of these folks are asking a whole bunch of money for these.
Have a few of them in inventory . The front case looks bitchen polished up . . A replacement core would be hard to find . Most likely would need to make one . .
Seriously, the BLOWER and DEFROSTER **** escutcheons are similar to the ones on 53-56 trucks wiper, choke, etc *****.
actually they escutcheons stamping and type/style are just like the ones in my tool truck 1955 c600 but my heater is much smaller etc....and yes both of you are smart Alek's but then again what else should one expect?
