I have a 1975 Ford F100 with a stock 302 with 3 speed manual. I am wanting to install headers but want to know which ones will bolt on with no modifications required. Thanks for any information.
When is come to headers, I always say "don't". Unless you are building a high powered engine, they are a waste of money and time. If I were to recommend any header, I would say BBK stainless steel shorty headers for a fox body Mustang. Mild steel long tube headers will rust out within 5 years, even if you paint them like I did. This is from my experience. My headers have leaks that can't be fixed and now I am currently looking for manifolds to go back to stock.
I have been running my set of Heddman headers since 2008. However, my engine is s FE. Mine have the ball-socket at the collector which doesn't need the gaskets. I have the black ones and I haven't had any problems with exhaust leaks or rust. Their website should be able to tell you the specifics.
If you go headers either get them ceramic coated by Jet Hot or if you can order them that way already done....do it. Won’t rust and they run cooler! I had them on my 70 Bronco, VMAX motorcycle, 68 Firebird 400 (engine makes 550hp) and I had my exhaust manifolds done for my 460 in my 77SB. Only way to go.
Doug Thorley’s is all I would run. Best header out there if they have one for your application in my opinion. Nice thick flanges. That’s what’s on my 68 Firebird (as well as my first 68).

I learned this many years ago. I am in no way saying not to buy headers as that is a personal decision. Just a general comment if I may. Back in the early 80s I thought it was cool and macho to run Doug Thorley fender-well headers on the highboys with stock engines. Performance improvements were emotional rather than real but I convinced myself I had more power in seat of pants when it was just because of louder mufflers. Even if someone told me back then not to buy I probably wouldn't have listened. By the time I was 25 around 1987, being "cool" was taking its toll and had enough of the headers and what seemed like constant nuisance issues (daily driver) and went back to stock manifolds and couldn't have been happier.
