I have near 1,800 miles on the new truck in 17 days and will say that this truck is so smooth feeling with the power to transmission, just smooth shifting. For a F350 srw it's ride is "soft " feeling really surprising. I've been in these 3/4 & 1 ton Ford trucks for 34 years so maybe I don't notice it like a soccer mom would coming from a family wagon.
On a back strech of road yesterday cruising at 30 put the pedal down and "WOW" the getti up and go was niceeeee and hit 85 in a flash. Mixed mileage 75% highway/ 25% city & suburb is 14.8mpg.
Just did 800 mile trip yesterday from the west side of Phoenix, AZ towards Flagstaff, AZ towards Albuquerque, NM finishing in Pueblo, CO. Setting cruise at 4 mph over on the interstate runs which is mostly posted at 75mph (79mph is cruising speed) , 12.5 hours total. Resetting in the mpg when first starting the trip and let it fluxuate up and down.
This is just shy of 11 hours into the trip. The gps reads 1 mph faster than the dash speedometer or would that be the speedometer reads 1 mph slower than the gps.
This was through a 65 zone shortly after just for rpm comparison.
At the hotel parking lot after 12.5 hours, 800 miles.
Not the same animal, when I had a 2008 dually with the V10 4.30 gears it would be around 2,400rpm at 75 if memory serves me correctly. That truck was a daily driver/ pulling beast but drank gas like a sailor in port fresh off the ship.
I hope my MPGs go up. I noticed on fuelly that the 2020 7.3 average MPG is higher than the 2021 average. I hope this is a sign they get a mile or two better as they break in. I am pleased with low RPMs pulling and it is as quiet if not more quiet than my 2019 6.7.

Speaking of duallies, they still only put 17" tires on them. Assume what you have now has 18's? Just wondering how worse it will be with a 7.3 dually with 4:30 gears. An inch doesn't seem like a lot, but I'm sure it will make a difference. Would like to find out what mileage a dually with 4:30's gets towing 17-18K.
That kind of mileage on a big V8 would have been unheard of 10 years ago. You really have to quit posting all of this great stuff. I do NOT want or need a new truck right now.
