Heads questions.
Howdy Youall.
I have a 2000 F350 6.8L that has some head issues so I am looking for the best repair options.
What I currently know: basically the engine is missing on 3 cylinders and is spitting sparkplugs.
So I have yet to pull the heads or do any real digging to determine the exact cause but I am expecting some sort of broken parts because ignition and fuel injection have been ruled out as to the cause of the misfire.
My question is if when I pull the heads if the damage is repairable what is my best option?
Should I replace the heads with used or remanufactured or have mine rebuilt?
One complication is I used Orileys steel sparkplug sleeves so I am not sure if there is enough metal left for timesert sleeves.
So what is your opinion?
