ZF6 Problems
I fear that I have a new transmission in my future, but I want to make sure I'm not missing something simple first.
When shifting gears it is getting more and more difficult to get into the next gear without double clutching and rev matching. Which makes me think that the synchros are wore out. What is strange, with the clutch pushed all the way to the floor, I can rev match the motor to the trans and it will go into gear. It seems that if the clutch is disengaged, revving the engine shouldn't matter much. Am I missing something? New clutch master and slave cylinder.
Clutch has about 30k miles on it (factory replacement type).
While sitting still, I can go from first to reverse without issue.
Is a new transmission in my future? Nobody local will rebuild them, so I will have to buy a reman and swap it myself (no problem swapping it myself). If that is what I have to do, who is recommended to get my transmission from?
