If you mean the flip down seat/console, there is an older thread I found awhile ago and the top is almost impossible to remove. a couple guys got salvage and replaced, one person was making a wooden top to replace what is there.

When I recovered my seats in leather, from Leather Seats Inc. they sent a piece for the center fold down. It was beyond my skill set set, but for a crisp $50 the interior guy did a great job with it.

Here is one of the threads, one of the posters had a previous thread, may be the other one I was thinking of. The console top has a million hold down clips and if you don’t know exactly where they are it is gonna break.
