So I have a 2008 f350 with 200+k recently purchased and rear slide window not work. after some diag I found the connector at the switch unplugged on dash . So I plug it in and rear window works fine easy enough? Well I noticed radio no longer working.it has power but no sound at all .well I unplug window switch radio works fine .I plug switch back in and no radio sound..so I’ve choose radio over rear window. the only thing I can think of is maybe speed control volume is tied into rear sliding window somehow if it even has speed control volume and I have swapped out my Ford 6disc with another one and same problem and all the connections are stock factory radio factory wiring
If the switch was unplugged most likely a previous owner did it. Are you absolutely sure the radio in the dash is the same unit that came with the truck? It's possible PO changed it out with one that is not totally compatible with truck. That being said it doesn't make sense that radio won't work when window switch is plugged in unless there is a amp somewhere that isn't getting enough voltage after switch plugged in. Your problem defies logic.
Oh I know defies logic I am a tech 20 years in industry ive been certified Audi/vw and ford Chrysler worked at ford dealer for years and I could not believe it and as far as radio I have the buyers guide window sticker and it list the ford 6 disc radio and I put that exact matching radio back in it cause it had a single disk I am having trouble getting wiring diagram I bought a Manuel but it’s vague cover 99-2016 and no schematic for rear power slide window without schematic I’ll never figure it out
