So I have a 94 f150 5.8l e4od. My truck was equipped with the manual neutral safety switch with 8 pins. I have since added a baumann controls transmission controller and I needed to update my neutral safety switch to the digital range sensor. I for the life of me can not get the switch orientated right. The only way the switch will work my manual 4x4 hits the switch and won't let me engage I have made sure its the switch for the e4od and not the 4r70w any help would be appreciated I need my truck fixed thank you.
The manual neutral safety switch with 8-pins, you talking about the Manual Lever Position Sensor(MLPS)?
"Digital Range Sensor" is on 1998 and newer.
Yours has an "Analog Range Sensor".
Why do you need to update it to the Digital sensor?
There are old style MLPS pre-1994, and new style for 1995-1997 for analog MLPS (non-digital)
More than likely you have the wrong MLPS, and that is why it gets in the way of your manual 4x4 hits the shifter.
