i apologize if i came off wrong, but mustang is right. its just hard to read with all that bouncing on the screen, an avatar here or there is fine with me but a million of em is a lil much.

I never said it was a big deal, I was specifically trying to make it a minor thing and to brush it off. So here it is again (in response to 95blackf150's post) I don't think it's a big deal, it is peanuts compaired to other stuff, but we run a tight ship and we have a great site because of it. This obviously got out of hand, but everyone kept chipping in with their 2 cents, so lets end it and get back to helpin' the guy out ok everyone?

There is nothing wrong with avatars. They are fun and to be used. Just not abused.
A line of them for no reason is abuse. But when used properly can enhance the message a little!

It is a zero to +5 volts dc a digital meter will never show it, an analog will swing. Set it to dc mode. I built a tester to check gauges it has a range of resitance fromm 22 to 73 ohms. you hook this on the end of the wire and the other to ground at 22 ohms the temp gauge should read near hot at 73 ohms the temp gauge should read at about the N in normal.

thank you guys so much for everything i have learned from this forum. i have since installed a mechanical guage because my voltage regulator is bad. it works good and i run about 195 to 200. thanks again.
