Hi. Can anyone tell me if a 2016 F250 6.7 XLT factory brake controller has a electric/hydraulic setting, or do I need an aftermarket controller for E/H brakes?
I has both types. Has since around 2011 and up I think. They also changed (in later years) the effort level. There are three settings of high, med or low. Still have the gain of 1-10.
don't know of the 2016 has the effort level settings.
2016, Yes on the E/H brake setting; Yes on the effort level setting, as well as the gain setting. That is in the settings menu, so one can select E/H or just electric.
If you pull multiple trailers, you can name each trailer, then set the effort and gain for each trailer; then when you hook up, select the trailer you are hooking to and it will automatically go to the preset effort and gain set for that trailer. I don’t know if it automatically switches from just electric to E/H or not though. You might need to play with the settings and find out. Good luck
