front clip options?
hi, does anyone know of a front clip that would fit under my 72 f-100 so as to give me disk brakes and the option of using air ride suspension?
all i can find is drop i-beams but that gives me no option of changing highth.
i see all the trucks in the magazines slammed but cant find anything for a 72 but beams.

There was a spell where the Volare clip was used too. Also you may want to get out your tape measure and check the early 70s chevy 1/2 ton front. With the availability of lowered spindles ect. this front end has a lot of possibilitys. And the whole thing just bolts or rivets to the frame. I have seen them under the older 50s pickups and they worked great, plus you still have a pickup suspension. I have seen the camero/nova used with success too but it requires a front stub graft. Also the Mustang ll is popular but I just have a problem putting anything of one of those vrappy little cars under a pickup that may ever get called on to actually be a truck.

Fatman Fabrications has an IFS for our trucks, easier than an entire front clip. And can be ordered with Air Bags. They are only ones I know of. There are several on forum who have used Bags with Dropped Beams, gets them down the Show Ground look, but when up to ride height, they are about where mine lives all the time. I still sometimes wish I'd done the IFS/4Link/Air Bag thing-but didn't and not sure I want to tear in to it anytime soon.
