I wonder of this one from Topgearautosport.com actually fits properly, not like those eBay or CarID ones that fit the F-150 and have huge gaps on either end. If anyone knows I'd be curious. I actually would like even a very good used one that I can polish to new condition. I prefer one where I can install my own led's.
i just noticed that, most likely this is due to an issue i have seen on ebay where people who are using the Mass Listing tools are publishing lots of items using that software, and Ebay did some updates to their API code, and now there are lots of auctions with screwed up information, such as incorrect pictures on items, prices are alll screwed up, etc,
my advice, search the same item and find one that isnt messed up, or message the seller and tell him to fix it. I paid $32.99 for mine and that is the same seller i used, likely he has not updates his mass listing management software, XD.
I would think polishing an old one would look better than that horrible-no good-fitment.
But hey, that's just me.
I'm with you there regarding fitment. I tried polishing with Flitz and it did ok but no way compares to a shiny new one. If there's a better compound to use, I'd love to know. I'm not comfortable using sandpaper and chancing clouding it and not get the translucence back.

My '94 Geo Metro had sun faded and hazy tail lights and black plastic side mirror when I bought it, so I took them off clay barred them, sanded flat with 1000 grit then 1500, buffed them out with a DA machine and rubbing compound and finally with again with polishing compound then synthetic wax. Those parts are the shiniest parts of my little fuel sipper, even now almost five years later they still shine with only infrequent wax jobs. With a little time and elbow grease you can get great results reconditioning plastic parts.
I had ordered similar ones from Amazon last week and sent it back because I was under the impression it was a direct fit and easy swap. I wasn't in the mood to cut & splice wires so I sent it back. I am not sure why there aren't any aftermarket suppliers of CHMSL lights for the Excursion that are a direct fit. Heck there are headlights and tail lights out there.....
