x4 custom tunes

Im going to be getting some custom tunes for my truck. I've never had custom tunes, will the device update when i load the custom tunes. I might be getting a truck for offroad use and my programmer is delete capable. i've heard when the programmer is updated it will remove the delete function. Also am i able to adjust the custom tune if i wanted to change shift points or something like that. Thanks for the help

If the programmer gets updated it will lose the ability to turn off egr

I don’t know if to download a tune the programmer has to be updated

Good luck -- quite a few tunes out there are directly responsible for and attributable to damage in these engines (over time), all are illegal - violate state and federal laws.

Thanks for the heads up, for me its about having fun. Obviously i dont want to grenade the engine but you gotta pay to play. Ive had it tuned for years and its held up. Ive even sprayed nitrous on the canned tunes. It just doesnt have the fuel on those tunes. Have a good day i appreciete the input

Well at least the second half of this statement is 100% false, there are several different tunes and tuners out there that have a CARB EO number, therefore legal in California. And if it is legal in California it is legal in all 50 statea.
