I recently purchased a 1966 F100 for $400 to use as a parts truck for my 1966 F100 4wd. I managed to get it running yesterday and I love the way it drives. So.......I have another project truck! Needing help decoding the axle tag. The door plate identifies the rear end as a Dana 60-2 limited slip differential with 3.54 gearing. The tag on the axle is stamped: C6TA-A (or 4)L, below that is 2678-6 and 3.54. Can anyone decode that for me?

C6TA-AL is simply the Axle tag number for the 3.54:1 ratio Dana Spicer rear axle (parts list #173). The 3.54 is self explanatory and the 2678-6 portion is specified to Dana. Ford doesn't document what those meant in the MPC.
