My wife wants a Lincoln Aviator. I am retired with a little extra cash and we have to drive 300-500 miles to see family so luxury is needed. I picked up my F-250 Platty in South Carolina from Ohio so driving to pick up a deal is okay.
So my question is, in you guys opinion where is a good dealership to pick up a deal from for an Aviator?
I'd use almost any good known on-line search function including eBay. So many dealerships and private sellers use an online site to sell their vehicles---its been good to me for the past 4 E-Series I've purchased since 2008.
Extended warranties are typically stand-alone policies sold by a dealer, could be found almost anywhere by doing a bit of research. I'd NEVER buy such a thing from an on-line sale though unless it was from a highly reputable seller such as a brick & mortar dealer who conducted the sale mostly online.
Try truecar.com You can give them the parameters of what you're looking for...a distance parameter as well...and dealers will respond with available inventory. I've also had good luck with both CARFAX and CARGURUS. I agree with JWA as to the extended warranty...which is really an extended service plan. I would only buy one from a Ford or Lincoln dealer. Again...you can do a GOOGLE search and solicit offers from franchised dealers based on the individual car you select. I would get the inter-web price and use it to negotiate with the dealer you ultimately buy from...see if they can match or at least come very close to the price. Consider Lincoln Certified Used Vehicles as well...they automatically come with an enhanced warranty. Good luck!!!
