Just wanted to inform the club that there is a massive recall on Cooper manufactured tires for our trucks.
It is a direct no cost replacement for certain models and mfr dates. There are many off brand tires that are made by cooper that are included.
This is a no mileage/condition replacement. Mine were 50 pct tread life. Doesn't matter. No receipt is necessary.
The recall states that the sidewalls can delaminate or bulge causing failure. Highway speeds could be devastating should one fail. Especially hauling heavy.
Inspect yours after you read the recall. It doesn't matter if they're showing signs. It's a replacement to get them off the roads regardless. Recall #178 - US Impacted tires for upload.xlsx
Stay safe!!!! If a mod could spread this to the other forums, that would be great.
i was not aware they were replacing already. i will have to drop my truck off monday and make appointments for the other two trucks and moms car.
lucky of rme the cooper dealer is next door to the big truck shop.
so drop it off in morning go to work, and after work walk next door and pick it up. no rides needed.
