Oil Pan help
Working on a 65 4x4 F100 with 360. Oil pan has been repaired once and has a bad leak from the goobered repair.
time for a new pan.
research is saying I need a rear sump pan. But I don’t know for sure what that means when it comes to the pick up tube.
However, the current pan on this 360 has the deep portion at the front or front sump.
will I need a different pick up tube if I find a rear sump pan?

If you use a rear sump pan, you will need the pick up tube that goes with it. The oil pump doesnt move so the pickup tube is longer to reach the rear. Hard to find sometimes and aftermarket pans are around $350 but thats not including the pick up tube.
