oil pan mods
New to the forum been looking at stuff for over a month and decied to join. Been reading about oil mods and was wondering if anybody has done any to the oil pan or would it just be better to get a new one with the proper baffles to stop oil going to the back of pan?

If your engine has a rear sump pan, then it's not a problem. If it's a front sump pan, and you are accelerating hard enough to dry up the sump, then a better pan would be in order. Randyb12 just posted a couple of days ago that he had success with a Canton pan. Unfortunately a new pan is pricey, but still cheaper than a set of bearings if your pump sucks air.

Yes it is a front sump. Been looking at some pictures of oil pans and it diddn't look like it would be to hard put in a baffle in it. I was looking at a pan from Ford Racing. Thanks for your reply

Just get a windaage tray from www.dscmotorsports.com, they cost around 40 bucks, itll solve yr problem.

Yes bought a windage tray from dscmotorsports got it out and it will not clear the baffles that are on the rear of the pan. Been looking at pans and baffles all day to bad someone don't make them for a ford found alot for chevy. Cheap around $9.00. But seen some pictures of the Milodon stock replacement and look pretty good. Couldn't find any good ones for the Canton 15-800. Thanks for all your reply's.
